well, without a note, its hard to rule a suicide. it is definitely overdose but it might be accidental.
check out the latter part with the disturbances with the down on their luck people... wonder if anyone bothered to look into foul play??

It is sad, as Kidder was messed up psychologically. It doesn't surprise me. She was such a wonderful acting talent and her issues would have prevented her from being more in the spotlight. She was always great value to watch.
