Azerbaijan seemed to be the first aggressor against Armenia in the Nagorno-Karabakh War. But it eventually lost far more casualties and had to agree for ceasefire. Correct me Prog if I am wrong. You've probably seen both sides argue each was to blame, but Azerbaijan certainly exacerbated things in the time leading up to the conflict and beyond. The ceasefire left Armenia coming out best. Azerbaijan had over 3 times the troop casualties Armenia suffered. I wonder how Armenians fared so relatively well when they were significantly outnumbered both in size of troops and weapons. Did Armenia had locational advantage?

Both were relying increasingly on conscripts, but it appears Azerbaijani troops were facing a serious lack of morale.

This is an LH-10 Ellipse, a kitplane. Benin uses them for scout missions, and can be fitted with rockets.

I hope that isn't the entire Botswana Defense Force. Coming up on the end of B soon. Bulgaria maybe. C is predicted to follow.

You seem to be flooding the board with random OT pictures of aircraft. Is there an endgame here besides trying to bury threads, or do I have to put you on the ignore list? What’s your agenda here?

One way the military lures new recruits is with its science and technology. Were you a big fan of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea? I wonder how many people joined the military because of that show? The crew of the Seaview wasn't exactly regular military. They waffled a bit just how connected to the military they were. Hmmm? ~~~==*==~~~
An Irish Airman Foresees His Death W. B. Yeats, 1865 - 1939 I know that I shall meet my fate Somewhere among the clouds above; Those that I fight I do not hate Those that I guard I do not love; My country is Kiltartan Cross, My countrymen Kiltartan’s poor, No likely end could bring them loss Or leave them happier than before. Nor law, nor duty bade me fight, Nor public man, nor cheering crowds, A lonely impulse of delight Drove to this tumult in the clouds; I balanced all, brought all to mind, The years to come seemed waste of breath, A waste of breath the years behind In balance with this life, this death. ~~~==*==~~~
A challenge to Yeats occurs at the close of the movie King Kong Police Lieutenant: Well, Denham, the airplanes got him. Carl Denham: Oh no, it wasn't the airplanes. It was beauty killed the beast. ~~~==*==~~~ And good luck on your way to Zimbabwe. Hey, captainbryce , Boo!

I also lived at airbases, my dad was in Britain's Royal Air Force. I do recall Top Gun actually had US Navy recruiters at some cinemas, and they did the same thing with The Hunt for Red October. The latter movie based on a book by an author known for his techno-military books, and whose name adorns many video games, like the Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell series. 😎
