I am certain the mcu xmen will fail and will disgrace the genre worse than star wars last jedi but as an xmen fan it is still my job to talk about the train wreck that is about to happen. Proof that summers is a troll.

So let's now discuss mcu x-men, this will be fun. moderators make this an ongoing thread till the first mcu xmen is out. let's start 1. casting 2. Tone 3. story telling 4. adaption of story aka messiah complex, e is for extinction? 5. film directors 6. Disney formula comedy I am certain the mcu xmen will fail and will disgrace the genre worse than star wars last jedi but as an xmen fan it is still my job to talk about the train wreck that is about to happen. 1. Not entirely sure about casting. But it should reflect the modern world, so diversity should be a big thing. 2. Already answered this back on another thread, but something similar to Winter Soldier would be great. 3. Again it should be modern. Parallel to what's currently going on. (Like LGBTQ rights, Black Lives Matter and the rise of white Supremacists) 4. Avoid the ones already been done and focus on either adapting the stories that haven't been adapted yet or just tell a new origin story. 5. Not sure who I'd like to go with. 6. Again I'm fine with humor if it's balanced.

Your post would have been a decent thread had it not been for the last sentence which is clearly another deluded rant from you. But fine, I'll address the rest of your post. 1. casting - This will all depend on whether the MCU (if indeed the MCU will be the one handling X-men) decide to go for a younger or older group of X-men. We should probably start a new thread specifically for the casting. 2. tone - I assume this will be similar in tone to IM1 or TWS, which is the most common tone for MCU movies. 3. adaption or story - for their very first movie, I'd prefer they just made up their own storyline, similar to how they did most of their origin movies. Down the line though, I'd want a proper Phoenix Saga done. 5. film directors - no ideas here but hopefully it is someone who actually understands the X-men characters so we don't end up with the same mistakes Fox made. 6. Disney formula comedy - as I mentioned in point #2, the film's tone would probably be more in line with the average MCU flick... which means along the lines of IM1, TWS, Thor1, etc. So they'll definitely have some humorous lines in there but nothing like GOTG or Ragnarok. Put simply, the jokes will probably be witty and delivered deadpan as opposed to the more slapsticky style of GOTG2.

Speaking of casting I've seen Christoph Waltz name popped up for Magneto over at Reddit. Not sure how you guys would feel about it. He's a great actor but like charzino said he's not physically imposing. I say he could work better as Stryker or Trask. For Magneto I think Pierce Brosnan might work and for Professor X I would say Daniel Craig.

My prediction is that Wolverine will either be Bieberized like Spider-man was, or if they want him to be aggressive, they make him non white. But I suspect they will go for the former.
Also, Xavier wont be an old wise white guy. Guaranteed.
Money in the bank. Either he will be dumb, or played by Morgan Freeman or maybe Ken Watanabe.
Absolutely no way there will be an older white guy authority figure.

True I think I actually saw a video with someone suggesting that.

Hopefully they make actual X-Men movies and lay off the Wolverine-Magneto: Stryker movies for a while. The X-Men shouldn't be side characters in their own films.
More X-Men would be nice. Gambit should make his first appearance in an X-Men film since...ever.
I'd like to see major villains that aren't one offs. To that end I'd like to see Apocalypse or the Hellfire Club used again this time with better set up.
I'd like Wolverine to have his own film series to keep him out of the X-Men films for a while. Perhaps they can do his origin justice this time around.

he is just trolling. X-Men alone is a classic milestone with an allegorical and political story that adds unusual deepness to this shallow genre.
Avengers and Guardians have nothing of that. They are clobber porn at best and poo porn at worst.
Clobber porn? I like that. A nice way of describing Man of Steel's third act.

MCU will never have a great magneto.disney will never give their films the content for a great magneto. their villain problem will kick in again adding to the disaster that is their xmen movies.

did first avenger make jokes about wwii? no? theres your answer. Sam, you have been fortunate to sneak back here twice now. And all you have done both times is trash the X Men movies. Why don't you do something more constructive this time? Be a positive force for once. You love the MCU... So discuss the MCU! No one will begrudge you that, and you won't get banned again. Or, by all means, keep ranting about things you hate and attacking people you don't like. Go out again in a quick, hateful, kamikaze style blaze of self destructive stupidity that no one will even remember in a week. The choice is yours. Who are we kidding. Of course you will pick the latter option! So I'm going to summon coldenhaulfield to defend us against your latest attack on v2
