Heard not many regulars are supposed to start for Spurs. Good that Kane starts. 5 Seasons wonder! The question is can he break his career long duck for the month of August? I fancy he can this year. Two goals scored by Spurs but none to the name of kane. |

I hope the kiddies watching can't lip read because the expletives issuing from Matt Ritchie's mouth are turning the air blue. You get the impression he doesn't want to be subbed. But he is.

Shelvey fed the through ball to Rondon on '85. He's in the area, he shoots but Vertonghen rushes him and gets down well to deflect the assault and send the ball bouncing off the Spurs bar.

The ref blows up after 6 minutes of added time. Spurs have Fulham at Wembley next week while Newcastle travel to Cardiff.

Not very convincing from us but a win's a win. Kane was the worst player on the pitch and I wouldn't be surprised if it's another goalless August for him. It's not like he was in any advanced positions to score today.
