I think this event could define if dustbin is going to be the next lefty (or at least close) - This course shouldn't be to hard for him, it should suit him - if his putter is working on the day/4 days!
DUSTBIN = similar styled player in regards to long game on form[to lefty]... dustbin has a more consistent game and short game inc putting - but Lefty is an enigma - can do anything - I could beat him on a bad day- he could beat a love child of Charlie hull and tiger woods with just a 7 iron and a mallet on his best day.. Lefty also left it late as dustbin has(to win a major)- both can be mentally string or mentally weak -which is a bit odd IMO- I think dustbin has less ability (mentally than) lefty though and I think there was something very different about Dustbin during his fed ex win. - so naturally I am not sure about him (disclaimer - I am not saying he took any illegal substances - just that he acted in a similar way to other people that are on coke. in fact sometimes sportsmen in highly charged situations can get a dopamine release from getting naturally being charged up ! I am not saying he was on cocaine - but he was acting and looked as though that receptor in his brain was stimulated - which can naturally happen - the difference i suppose with dustbin is that he looks a bit monged out (reverse half the time) - and some times he looks high......
but I am backing Westy (as I always do - his long game takes this course apart - if putting didn't exist in golf - or holes where the size of buckets he would have won 8)- anyway he made me big money last two years and many others. (by laying him of at the perfect time - his chip in on 15) and I won on adam scott, and bubba in recent years, also Miclroy top 5 (only a ton on him), donald made me a killing as well - holing out on the last one ear - The last year i didn't win on this event (come out with any profit was the year before Lefty won his first - as i only used to back him for every major - off course eventually he won one, and a few more on top.. he is that good, Not talked about (in a similar vein to Ernie ells and Vijay Singh because of Tigers dominate)
Lefty feels like this place is his home - and fair play to him. He deserves to feel that way - but a few putts dropped in a few different rounds and this would be westy's place.. But anyway - i am a huge fan of both. But is it going to become Bustbins place??
I think a strong ball striker will win over a Speith type. Speith is like a super charged mike weir , zach Johnson or Ian Poulter in the way he plays(discounting match play and team ethics). But either way I think it will be a classic! And there is always money to be won here.
