Oh, I just had to comment on the Precious Moments figurine part... those things nauseate me!  

I used to flea-market and antique shop a lot, and when I would see those, they were generally kept in locked glass cases, no doubt to keep me from smashing them.  They even used to have a 'museum', or tourist attraction; the walls were frescoed (in acrylic, not egg tempera like Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel), and had signs up to 'not touch the paintings'.  Yeah, like anything degrades acrylic paint.  And they were paintings of these little onion-headed characters.  Gack.
