So confusing and conflicting information on what's good for you. Sometimes it's just sheer impracticality to eat well all the time.

Just eat lots of fruit and/or vegetables... Mix your colours.

Gets worse as you grow older I think that it gets easier, as you grow older. You've lived through so many conflicting warnings!, that you can differentiate between "limited trends" (AKA, "nonsense"), and what makes reasonable sense. With age, there come some compensating factors.

I eat what I feel like eating when I feel like eating it. To hell with all these "healthy eating" experts.

I think most of it is just tried and true what we know to be healthy, a lot of stuff now is very trendy, but is everybody still going to be eating all these seeds and crap in 20 years or will it be a new trend? Kale? Never heard of it growing up, don't know what it's akin to, I'll stick to spinach. I'm amazed the egg cholesterol scare hasn't died off since we now know it to be total BS, and if you think eggs are going to give you a heart attack you must be eating a whole carton of them a day.

Agreed. And there are so many foods people say are bad for you, yet I have experienced no proof of any of it.

I eat what I feel like eating when I feel like eating it. To hell with all these "healthy eating" experts. I'm with you Socks, if I like something and can eat it without it bothering me too much, I eat it. Every few years the so-called experts will declare a food as bad for you then years later they will say the same food is good for you. I think people should eat what they like and just practice moderation. Eating in excess is what gets people into trouble, don't be a glutton.

Avoid refined sugar and things with a lot of ingredients (highly processed foods - typically anything that comes in a box) and you'll generally be OK. Stick to the outer perimeter of the grocery store. Simple rules to generally abide by. A bag of chips now and then or a candy bar here and there isn't going to kill you.

Mostly, to eat well, don't eat often and don't eat much.
