No offense to the Aussies here but if Aussie Rules Football were to disappear it wouldn’t affect my sporting life in the slightest.

There are dozens of sports I wouldn't miss at all. Cricket and golf are the ones I'd be happiest to see go. Association football and tennis would be the only ones I'd really miss.

least - soccer most - football I didn't know you were so infidel to basketball. college basketball is probably my favorite sport (i hop back and forth between college football) then i tend to go: college football pro football nba #4. so by my warped logic #2 and #3 (college and pro football) beats #1 and #4 (college and pro basketball) ..........

It would not bother me at all - in fact it would please me - if weightlifting were to disappear. Stupid useless sport that gives tons of meaningless medals in the Olympics.
The one that would bother me the most would be soccer.

Least- NFL. Entertaining enough, but nothing would be missing from my life if it went away. Most- cricket: childhood memories of playing and going to games, life long friendships formed as a lower grade player, god knows how many column inches I've already written on it, 140+ years of history, not just sporting history, but history of nations. Gone forever? Say it ain't so...

Curious - why all the hate for basketball on here?
I find it a thrilling sport.
College wise - loaded with history in my area and can watch any game across the country.
Pro Wise - highly skilled athletes - arguably does a better job than the NFL at promoting 'personalities'.
I've heard/read arguments the game really doesn't matter until the final 2 minutes and it takes 20 minutes to play the final 2 minutes. Can't we argue that's true in most sports with timeouts and player/coach/manager interactions/substitutions?

Horse Racing + Equestrian but giving ppl Olympic medals in their 50's for riding a horse is still a thing.

Least : drag racing. The most boring and asinine sport ever invented. Most : Rugby League. I simply cannot live without it....
There are a few others worth mentioning, which some refer to as “sports” however I refuse to acknowledge them as such and I would be happy that they are gone and forgotten : Any form of animal fighting. How perverse and sick must you be to watch two dogs try and kill each other ? Bull Fighting. Inhumane bovine slaughter in front of a crowd Pro Wrestling. The amount of attention this shit gets really bothers me. Why people call it a sport when it’s outcome is predetermined also bothers me. It’s like saying “Friends” was a sport......

Only talking major sports here because so what if water polo or ice dancing goes away? Most - NFL and MLB Least - soccer and NBA I am shaking and quivering at the risk of inciting your wrath but I do like to remind you that NFL, MLB and NBA aren't sports.
I do not actively wish for any sport to die (except such as those that involve ethical issues as weststigersbob mentioned).
It will definitely bother me if the only real and mainstream "nation vs nation" sport cricket were to die. "Nation vs Nation" contest for me will always remain more meaningful than club sports in which players have very little loyalty and switch sides very often.
