It could be skits, songs, song and dance , even parlour entertainment. I’m looking for non musical stars, so no Julie Andrews and Angela Lansbury, brilliant as they are at this genre.
If I was as good as you all at clipping photos and film I would make a collection of British non musical stars doing music Hall numbers. It’s my belief every British actor has a music hall act in the closet .
Basil Rathbone in a striped blaser and boater in Adventures Of Sherlock Holmes singing and dancing to I do like to be beside The seaside is top of the list

Kay Walsh & Ted Ray in the RED PEPPERS episode of MEET ME TONIGHT (couldn't find clip sadly)
Beryl Reid
Peter Sellers
Danny Kaye, Petula Clark & Stanley Holloway (although I concede Petula and possibly Kaye - are "musical stars)
