I thought he was awful. The voice, accent, whatever you want to call that he was doing was so damn annoying. It sounded so fake and cheesy too. I know Tarantino will have cheesy things in his movies at times, but this movie was too serious to want his performance done that way.
Now if he had a small role I would be OK with it, but since I had to see him so much in the movie, it ruined it.

He was more interesting than the main girl. She wasn't bad but just kind of "I'm out for vengeance! GRRR!!!!".

Sadly it makes it to where I don't want to own the movie. Which sucks because I liked it, but his performance kills it. |

I was a little suspect of it when I saw the trailer but in the film I thought it worked wonderfully.

I thought the casting was very mixed. You have a great choice in Waltz for example. Then you have Mike Myers and Eli Roth on the other end of the spectrum. I wasn't totally keen on Pitt either in the role for the same reasons as you, but it didn't prevent my enjoyment of the film. The best scenes are those without those 3 in them.

Brad Pitt's performance (and accent) was one of the best parts of the movie. The whole movie was good.

Great performance in my opinion. My favorite Tarantino film. One of my favorite parts is Waltz meeting Pitt in the theater and Pitt attempting his "EYE-Talian".

It's fair to dislike him, but I disagree, I thought that Pitt's performance was hilarious, and fit the films parody of gung-ho dirty dozen style war men, pretty well.

Strange. Brad's performance is one of the few things I didn't "hate" in this 2/10 pile of garbage.
But, with it being Tarantino, I always think it's more than he reveals. To me, it only works as a "fantasy" piece of the girl running away in the beginning, fantasizing about what she'll do to get even. That doesn't mean she is killed, just that she is actually being shot at.

Only Southerners can do a Southern accent correctly so it didn't bother me since I knew it would be bad. I actually like the movie a lot. Django was a travesty tho. Slavery torture porn aimed at white liberals. It's disgusting on so many levels and the definition of hypocrisy.
