We just hate him cos he left us. And the cheek of him to be looking for more money at City, he should be paying Pep for improving him

Hogwash. His skin colour has nothing to do with the interest shown in him, either positive or negative.
I like Ian Wright, but he can be a tad facile in his thinking and does from time to time say some stuff I suspect with hindsight he wished he hadn't.

Without question it's racism because if say John Terry, for example, had got a machine gun tattoo back in his team mate's wife shagging heyday, the English press would have had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to say about it.
So I guess it must just be racism...

Absolute twaddle from Wright. I've seen countless number of non-black players over the decades receiving negative and sometimes harsh criticism from the media. Sometimes warranted sometimes seen over the top. Black players have been praised to the rooftops by the media because they're fantastic players. Wright has cherry picked one player because of his skin color to rant about racism and the Ousley remark about driving out young black talent is something from 'The Twilight Zone'. I mean what planet is he from. I think Wright needs to be held accountable for without being specific branded his media colleagues racist without any evidence. I think he is way out of line.

I don't think it's racism to ask why he can't do the business on the score sheet when he puts on an England shirt.
