........in a museum ?? I remember seeing a moon rock in our local (Milwaukee) museum, not too long after Apollo 11 returned to Earth. At the time, it was a pretty big deal, and I still recall the letdown, after the big build-up of waiting a LONG time in a LONG line that NEVER seemed to move, and then, when FINALLY getting to lay my eyes on it, suddenly realizing that if somebody hadn't told me this was a rock brought back from the surface of the moon, how EASILY it could be mistaken for any number of Earth rocks I might see just by walking outside and looking down...... On the other hand, I also remember getting to see Tut's gold mask at the Chicago Field Museum, back in 1977 when the King Tut Exhibit toured the country (also, a REALLY big deal at the time!), and (literally) having my breath taken away by it's INCREDIBLE beauty....... Something Interesting You Once Saw......True story and I bet most guys would fine it interesting. I am in a piano bar in Las Vegas many, many years ago. Place was pretty full but there was two seats to my left and one to my right. And these three lady's sit down beside me. Two on one side and the other on my other side. They were as friendly as could be. We talked for about 30 to 45 minutes. They even bought me two beers.

At De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam there was an exhibit on Pompeii. They had one of those plaster casts made from where a body was caught at the moment of death. It looked similar to this one.

I saw a T-Rex skeleton when it was temporarily on display at a museum near where I live.

At a day at the Central Park Zoo, I saw small monkeys on an island exhibit do battle with the big swans that swam in the water surounding the island.
The monkeys were real ball busters and the swans were really nasty.
It was very interesting.

American pornographic actresses Ginger Lynn, Traci Lords and Amber Lynn. Now long ago. Was Traci of age yet?

When I said yes she asked me if I had seen any of their movies. I said yes and we just started talking. All three of them were dressed to kill and they looked great. My only regret is I did not have a cell phone back then. I wanted to get my picture taken with them.

Once when I visited the Princeton Art Museum, I saw a black squirrel running around outside in front of the building. That was as memorable a sight as anything inside.

A stegosaurus skeleton. Alas, no T-Rex for me.
I would have liked to see a Triceratops my favorite dinosaur.

Fox in the SnowHad a laugh because those three women don't look quite like the stereotypical image of museum visitors and yet he had seen them at a museum ! Then I read the note !

When my vacation was over and I went back to work and told some of my co-workers some of them did not believe me. That is another reason I wished I could have had my picture taken with them. I'm guessing they don't look like that these many years later but they were a sight to behold back then.

Hey, I would have started a seperate thread to tell that story.

The most interesting thing about this thread so far is that Area51 considers bars to be museums.
