As promised, I'll talk about certain changes in the adaptation. FATHER DELGADO had some nice moments, but he was nowhere near the protector of the title characters that he was in the comics. To be fair, he was that way because he gave them a place to live and hide from the cops, which they don't need in the show. What about giving TYRONE & TANDY dead siblings as motivation? Well, it's one of the many things that make this show it's own thing, so I don't consider it a positive nor negative change. Judging it as writing in general, it's handled well. Things don't play out exactly how the viewer expects. At the end, O'REILLY rises from the dead with powers. I wasn't very satisfied when this happened in the comics. It's like giving COMMISSIONER GORDON powers. OK, maybe that's not a good example since BATMAN doesn't have powers. OK, it's like turning CASEY JONES into a 5th NINJA TURTLE. OK, maybe that's not a good example either since he wears a mask and uses weapons, so he's arguably a superhero. My point is that sometimes it's OK for superheroes to team up with heroes that aren't super. Anyway, since this is following the comics faithfully, I can't really call it a flaw.
Overall, it was a good season.
