Didn't Disney? That should about cover it.

If he's smart he would avoid it until the press release for Captain Marvel starts.

Honestly, whatβs there for him to say at this point? Itβs really better from every angle to just not.

What happened to loyalty? Loyalty doesn't mean blindly going along with everything someone does.

I think the immediate, unapologetic and clear "tone from the top" termination and condemnation as "indefensible" says it all and there is little to add. They cut out the malignant tumor; who knows what else is comming.
My caveat: Was it not Marvel Studeos/Feige who hired Gunn...thereby neglegting to do the proper HR/DD screenings? They obviously knew of the Gunn's homophobic and sexist content on Gunn's website - for which Gunn had to apologise in 2012. But they seem not to have had any clue about his countless child rape commnents on Twitter/photos/videos etc, or they would have made him apologise for this disgusting content too (if not a deal breaker per se)?
Feige's awkward and ambiguous silence on Gunn's depraved output is not a sign of strong leadership, corporate culture or the necessary "tone from the top". It's a sign of weakness.

The more that I think about it the more I have to agree with him being quiet. Think about it, if he comes out and says he agrees with the firing he's going to piss off the fans who supported Gunn. He would have to deal with the attitude of "WHY DID YOU BETRAY HIM!! WHERE'S YOUR LOYALTY??!!!!" If he comes out and says he is against the firing, he'll not only piss off the people who want Gunn gone but he'll have to deal with the fact that he'll be called a pedophile sympathizer or something like that. It's better for him to be quiet about it until the next interview he'll do, which won't be until next year. It's what I would do.

What happened to loyalty? In all seriousness, Kevin Feige should have made a statement one way or the other LONG AGO!
And yes, it should be acknowledged that it was James Gunn's genius that turned a movie with even more unknown characters, a talking raccoon and a walking tree, into a huge blockbuster. GOTG was the first MCU movie that we had no idea how it was going to go. It could have flopped HUGE! And it didn't, and that's because of James Gunn's genius with the material.
And then, he did it again with Vol. 2.

Sometimes you have to take a stand. It could save someone elses job and reputation in the future. Feige hired him in the first place, didn't he?

IMO, Feige, some exec from Disney, and Gunn himself, should have made an appearance together and put out a statement apologizing for his previous comments, put them in context (that the tweets were stupid jokes) and have Disney/Marvel make their position clear while at the same time supporting Gunn. This would've taken the heat off the situation and put it in proper context. Instead it became PC witch hunt #10,000...

No, Disney should've fired Feige as well for hiring a scumbag pedophile like Gunn and also fired Dave Bautista and the rest of the GotG cast for signing a petition supporting that scumbag pedophile.

So far I've only found staying quiet works if you're a man and its the #metoo movement (LOL). Outside of that one should speak up.

Outside of that one should speak up. I have no idea what metoo and the Gunn controversy have in common. James Gunn made the tweets, own it and got fired for it. Kevin Feige didn't make those tweets and his boss was the one who responded to it. As far as I'm concerned Feige has no reason to talk about it when his boss took the appropriate step. It's done and over with. If I was in Feige shoes I would focus on hiring a replacement director and move on. James Gunn is done. It's time to move on.
