I re-watched Bad Boys (1995) (6-6.5/10 ; within my Top 235 movies) and Bad Boys II (2003) (6/10 ; a mild Thumbs Up) on Nov 12th and Nov 13th of 2015.
they beat most action movies.
p.s. ill probably see them again before 2019 is finished.

Obnoxious, loud, excruciating entertainment. Makes the first one look good.

While the first movie had some wry charm, and cost 19m USD and made 141m USD worldwide on it's bookends that year and made both actors huge stars, why return 8 years later? In case they haven't lived up to their huge salaries the rule is return to something audiences hopefully remembers, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
If it doesn't work they can always do some harmless Disney family movies, or try to promote their talentless kids to stardom..

Well, a lot of movies seem to be getting sequels about 10-15+ years later. If there is more story or case to expand upon for the next movie, so be it.

I remember how Martin Lawrence got top billing when the first movie came out. That wouldn't happen today even if had the lead role.
