I really wanted a Captain Underpants movie when I was in fifth grade or whatever. So that took about 16 years.

I remember that Stan Lee used to breathlessly promise imminent Silver Surfer and Spider-Man movies in his "Soapbox" columns in Marvel comics back in the 70's. Took a while for those to come to fruition!

Terminator 3. And I was left disappointed.
Also Dark Tower, which I still haven’t seen.

I waited a few years to finally get to see Flight 7500. It was predictably rubbish, but the delay annoyed me.

I'm still going through my longest wait for a movie; a 1977 film called The Farmer. I've never seen it play on TV and it's never been released on any home video format. 40+ years and counting!

I remember when I went to the Movie Theater to see "THE DARK KNIGHT", I had to wait through 9 Movie Trailers (I actually started counting them after the 5th Trailer) before the Darn Movie Finally Started!

Been waiting for a Spider-Man movie at least 5 years after Spider-Man 3, with The Amazing Spider-Man.

I've been waiting for another Supergirl movie ever since seeing Supergirl (1984) starring Helen Slater. If what I've read about a new film being developed is indeed true, then I'd say that's probably the longest I've waited for a movie to be made.
