Evelyn with two of her pals … she fainted from laughing at your last comment ! "C'mon, Frankie...you're choosing her over me? After all we've been to each other?" That one reunited about half the cast of The Wolf Man: Ankers, Chaney, Lugosi, Ralph Bellamy, Doris Lloyd.

Fluffed a bit in this unlabeled image That's, I think, as "Kitty" in Sherlock Holmes and the Voice Of Terror."That's right, Kitty, it was the Nazis that killed him!"

I'm delighted to see her - and her work - getting all this attention, so credit to you for getting it started. Dare I ask if you have met her?? or seen her? Oh, I wish that had happened. Possibly just as well; I would probably have become a blithering idiot, just as I did when meeting Donna Reed. I met Rita Hayworth, Liza Minnelli, Cary Grant and scores of others without a problem, but something about Reed rendered me a stammering fool, and Ankers would likely have had the same effect.

1944's Weird Woman offered Ankers the opportunity to stray a bit from the sorts of roles she most commonly played. Dig that 'do, huh?

Doghouse6 Stammering ( aka blithering idiot) stories about meetings are priceless ! It's funny when some famous person is on TV and tells how S/BI they were when they met some equally famous folk or another. MORE EA to keep on track :
Good thing I checked .. one yahoo image was labelled Evelyn Ankers but was from Gone With the Wind !
