I am when I eat at my in-laws. I don't trust the store they buy their food from and my mother in law's preparation isn't exactly the most sanitary. And if it's a holiday and other misfit relatives bring dishes, forget that too. I often end up eating very little while I'm there.

Rarely. Used to get very upset at badly rinsed dishes that still had soap bubbles on them.

Yes, I am very germophobic about food prep.

I'm more vigilant at washing fresh produce now. With all the illnesses reported in the media.I never buy "bagged salad mixes any more". Seems that's where most of the illnesses are coming from. But I buy baby carrots.

Not really, except like I said in another thread that I never send back food in fear of what will be done to it for my insolence. I also keep all of my noodles and flours and whatnot in the fridge because of those little larvae things that get into them.

Nope... Never wash anything up, and 5 second rule applies.

I'm more germaphobic about the dishes used to eat with especially since everything has to be washed by hand here since the dishwasher is as broke as our bank accounts lol

Nope... Never wash anything up, and 5 second rule applies. The 5 second rule, I love it! Also, if something drops on the floor, it's a race between me and the dog as to who gets it!

You could eat off my kitchen floor - and be quite full.

more like the dishes the food is eaten off of.

Nope... Never wash anything up, and 5 second rule applies. Never wash anything up? Do you eat from the same utensil you cook the food in? That's not a bad idea but you will have to wash that thing otherwise two dishes will have mixed taste. Even I am not used to live very cleanly but I have some problems with the smell of soap so I usually wash my dishes 8-10 times till all the smell goes off.

Cook in a spun steel wok, eat out of the wok, stir and eat with same utensil. Dry wipe both, and single chopping knife with a kitchen towel afterwards 🤗 Don't eat any meat or dairy... Not a problem with veggies. Never wash a wok, you'll ruin the seasoning.

Not a germ-phobic at all, but worry about other peoples standards if we are at a potluck.

Never though about it, I definitely avoid anything that there's been a recall on, even once the recall's over. Never touched bagged greens, I don't care if it takes longer, prep it yourself.
And not germophobic but I don't trust meats from Wal-Mart. Even the people who work there don't buy meat or vegetables there.

I'm afraid to buy meat, deli or frozen things from Walmart because I often see packages of meat and other things laying on shelves in other departments (i.e. a steak on top of cans of paint), who knows how long they lay around in the wrong department until an employee puts the stuff back in the refrigerated cases. I do buy their Marketside bagged Caesar salad as long as the lettuce isn't wilted looking and I buy WKD's Klondike bars because you would be ale to tell if an ice cream bar melted.

Thing is a lot of these concerns really aren't being germ phobic. It's common sense to avoid food poisoning.
