Since Disney bullied the Academy into creating a "Disney's Most Popular Film" category just so Black Panther can get an a non-technical Oscar, that means the Academy will just give that award to Black Panther so Black Panther won't be nominated in the Best Picture category. So which movies will be contenders for a nomination in the Best Picture category this year?

I think these movies could contend for a Best Picture nomination:

A Star is Born
Beautiful Boy
Boy Erased
The Favourite
First Man
The Front Runner
If Beale Street Could Talk
Mary, Queen of Scots
The Old Man & the Gun
On the Basis of Sex
Widows
