I made this thread last year and they lost week 1. Let’s see if it works again!!
Seriously though, I do think that week 1 vs Houston could be dangerous, but it depends on if Deshaun Watson picks up where he left off (big if), if JJ Watt looks like his former self (big if) and how the Pats’ defense adjusts with a new coordinator (not that their defense was exactly strong last year...)

is it that crazy to think they may be 0-3 going into the Dolphins game?
i'm one to think the Jags were a mirage last year even though i've always been a Bortles fan and think he's gotten unfairly criticized - i don't think they'll match their success from last year despite their 'D' - but that being said - maybe revenge factor Week #2.
then they've got the Lions and Stafford Week #3 and the dud Dolphins #4. despite being a dud - it is a divisional game where the Fins get amped up and anything can happen.

The Patriots go 6-10 this season with all 6 wins coming against the Bills, Dolphins, and Jets. They win the division as the other three division teams all go 2-14 and advance to their third consecutive Super Bowl.

Look out for "The playoff format is a joke and needs to be redesigned because a 6-10 team got in and won" threads that would be popping up.

From some other Giants fans I talked to, they hated the Jets shacking up at Giants stadium like an unemployed alcoholic brother crashing and bumming off his 9 to 5 older brother and they wanted to see the Jets go back to Shea Stadium. Safe to say the odds of that happening are non existent. Another reason Giants fans hated the Jets was for a couple of Jets fans blowing smoke about how during the Rex Ryan era, their back to back AFC championship appearances made them the new team of Ny. There seems to be a lot more hate between the New York baseball teams than the football teams.
As far as drafting, I think the Giants will have a better season than last years debacle. I expect more of the same from the Jets.

I hate Yankees fans because they are annoying dicks - ready to drop guys after two bad weeks, ready to anoint guys as being untouchable HOFers after 2 good weeks, and overall just jerks. Mets fans are also annoying dicks, so I can see why Yankees fans hate us (well, not me!). After the 2000 World Series, you know when the Yankees handily won without really breaking a sweat, some of my idiot Met fans friends actually had the audacity to say that even though the Yankees won, the Mets were the better team and that's all that really mattered to them. Yeah, OK. Mets fans boo'ed Mike Piazza in 1998, the year the team acquired him, during a brilliant summer in which he hit nearly .350, had an OPS over 1.000 and single-handedly carried the team into a near playoff berth. Yeah, fuck that guy! Makes sense! Giants fans don't really hate Jets fans and vice versa as much, regardless of what pisspot Marco would tell you. Other than the meaningless preseason game, the teams don't play each other regularly and really have no rivalry. Both are fairly well represented throughout the area (whereas Yankees fans far outnumber Met fans) so it's not a back page thing. Plus, the Jets have been so irrelevant for so long that Giants fans shouldn't really care about the Jets, just like you wouldn't care when a retarded dog pisses on your lawn. I don't think I've ever met a person, ever, who was a "fan" of both baseball teams. You may be a fan of one and like the other, that's one thing, but being an avid fan of both? Just logistically makes no sense. I like the Yankees insofar as I like watching them as a team, they're exciting and capable of a run but I wouldn't lose the slightest bit of sleep to watch them lose in the wild card game this year, or in any other round, nor will I be particularly overjoyed if they win the WS.

i don't know. i think it was partially coaching and partially the O-Line/Injuries - but i think manning is shot. really think the Giants will regret sticking with him. not hating - wish them well - i.e. 9-7 season as they challenge the Cowboys and Eagles for the division but fall short - can kind of care less about the Redskins - they can finish 8-8 for all i care as long as their competitive but on the outside looking in.

I defended Eli last season, but if he's throwing turds this year even with an improved o line, then I think it's time to consider retirement. I'm hoping he can at least direct traffic like his brother did near the end when he was falling apart.

When they don't cheat against the first team they play. That's when.

The opener against the Texans will be a challenge for the Pats, the Texans will have a good team with a healthy Watson. The Pats first 3 games are all very difficult, at home vs the Texans and then at the Jaguars and Lions.
I see the Pats going somewhere between 12-4 and 10-6 this year. They aren’t as good as they’ve been the last 2 years and they have a very difficult schedule, but they are still arguably the best team in the AFC.

It would be very amusing if Patricia beat Belichick. I bet it was Bill that leaked the story about Patricia’s past rape allegations - any means necessary to destabilize a future opponent.

You kids need some new excuses as to why the Patriots are so dominant and your team is not.

I was pointing out the joke of a division the rest of the AFC East is by showing a scenario where the Pats can phone it in and still win that festering dung heap of a division. One day 50 years from now one of those other three teams may finally post a winning record, and then Brady is TOAST!
