The harassment and attacks she had to deal with were inexcusable. I am truly sorry that they had such an impact on her life, but she and the author of pieces like this (http://collider.com/kelly-marie-tran-letter-star-wars-harassment/)are making it hard to stay sympathetic. People trashed her character because, while she was supposed to be innocent and likeable, she sucked. She was awkward, unnecessary, poorly portrayed, and played too large a role in a pointless part of the movie.
You were harassed because of your race? Tell that to Jake Lloyd and Hayden Christensen. I feel bad for her because this has obviously messed with her head, but she's going for the low-hanging fruit and saying stuff that simply isn't true. Frankly, I hope her character just goes away and that the actress find some peace..

It's not that I don't believe you, but you have a history of lying and deceiving to put is mildly. I seem to have read another "speak out" yesterday where she bashed the industry and Hollywood for discrimination, not some Instagram fanboy users… |
