I hated it. I went back to a harder job with 12 hour shifts so I could work 3 days a week.

My cousin used to work for the Metropolitan Fire Service in a regional population centre.

He worked four days on, four days off, if I remember correctly. So he'd be away from home for four days, then home for four days.

However, in times of emergency, he was on call twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
