Since I've answered most of the previous quiz questions (hopefully correctly) allow me to add some new questions:
Death and Taxes
JERVISTETCH IS THE WINNER AGAIN!
1. Her gravestone read “She saved the world…a lot.” Buffy Sommers on BUFFY, THE VAMPIRE SLAYER - BAT OUTTAHECK
2. This lawyer’s last words to her lawyer friend were, “I don’t want to talk about it,” before she accidentally stepped into an empty elevator shaft and plunged to her death. - Rosalind Shays on L.A. LAW (The episode was ghoulishly titled "Good to the Last Drop") - JERVISTETCH
3. A memorable episode of this comedy had Mr. M about to be told he owed back taxes and penalties to the IRS, until his roommate came in and saved the day by providing Mr. M’s cancelled alimony checks, which he’d found in a box marked “Gambling losses.” - Oscar Madison and Felix Unger on THE ODD COUPLE - JERVISTETCH
4. This recurring character was in a jail cell on trumped-up charges. He was shown putting his neck into a homemade noose and the commercial flash showed his feet dangling off the floor. Nevertheless, he walked in at the end of the show alive and well with no explanation ever given as to how he survived. Since then, he’s been shot and injured quite a few times, including being shot in the butt by an old friend, but he’s always managed to survive. (And he’s not some supernatural character, he’s just a regular Joe.) - Tobias C. Fornell on NCIS. - BAT OUTTAHECK
5. This detective hunted down escapees from Hell. They were already dead, of course, but then so was he. In order to hunt them down, he was plucked out of that place of fire and…well, you know. Detective Ezekiel Stone of BRIMSTONE - JERVISTETCH
6. In one episode of this series, an elderly couple made a wish for a million dollars. They gave some of it to friends, and then the IRS man showed up and took the rest of the money away in taxes. Their other three wishes didn’t work out well, either. THE TWILIGHT ZONE episode "The Man in the Bottle" - SMILEY
7. This show announced its return for a new season during the Super Bowl by just using a club covered in barbed wire to smash a football. - THE WALKING DEAD - BRADY911
8. This show wrote off a character who was going through a real-life pregnancy and couldn’t agree to terms on a contract by having her beheaded and her head left in a box for her lover’s brother to find. The next year, they wanted her back so she returned claiming she’d faked her death and sent someone else’s head similar to hers. The producers explained, “Would you really stop and examine a head you found in a box that carefully?” - Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) on PRISON BREAK - BRADY911
9. In one episode of GET SMART, at a KAOS annual budget meeting they announced they had made $22 million dollars that year. “Which after taxes, comes to .....” How much? (I probably have the actual initial dollar figure wrong, but you’ll get the idea.) $22 million, of course (Zis is KAOS. Ve dun't pay taxes here!)
10. In season four of this show, they returned to say one of the sisters had died and they arranged for the surviving sisters to meet a new half-sister. The producers explained the new dynamic saying something like. “They’ve had to face the death of a sister before, but this is the first time it really stuck.” - Replacing Shannon Doherty with Rose McGowan on CHARMED - JERVISTETCH
JERVISTETCH - 4 BRADY911 - 2 BAT OUTTAHECK - 2 SMILEY - 1
