I've only read "The Sun Also Rises", but I thought it was so boring and monotonous and almost with no style. In fact, it seemed like it was almost anti-style.
I know one book is not much to go on, but TSAR is considered to a classic, so... I've read some of his quotes (from novels, from the man himself) and I highly doubt that I would like his other novels any better.
Anybody agree? Disagree?

I think he was a good short story writer, but his style doesn't work well for longer novels.

The only Hemingway work I truly like is his nonfiction work on bullfighting – Death in the Afternoon. Not a spectacle I like or would ever witness but the book is great.

I’ve only read The Sun Also Rises (a few years ago) and didn’t hate it; but I also didn’t like it enough to bother reading anything else of his as of yet.
i should probably give him another shot at some point before locking in my opinion.

I've only read The Old Man and the Sea. It was OK but a bit repetitive (theme developing here).
