Autumn To quote Dickens, the best of times, the worst of times. Weather wise, Fall is just too great here. But it just pushes you close to winter. I was actually thinking about seeing if my snowblower is still operational yesterday. Sports wise, football is back, but baseball is winding down (minors wrap up next week) and the three week NBA offseason is ending, so it will be back to LeBron, 24/7. Aren't you intrigued if Markelle Fultz is the missing '3rd Piece' next to Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid and they in fact did not need to sign a stud F.A. this offseason? I don't know about you - but I'm on pins and needles - because if he is that 'missing piece' and stories have been going on all summer he's fixed (working out with Drew Hanlen in L.A. with various superstars) - then I see them challenging Boston in the East.

Sorry, not one pin not one needle. The NBA isn't my cup of tea. We had a team here and it was a joke. You could have won titles with Braves castoffs. Bob McAdoo, Moses Malone, Adrian Dantley. After they moved, the closest team was Cleveland in the "Cadavers" days. Whee. I'll never care about it even if they put a team in my backyard.

Doesn't the sea actually get warmer for a month or so after the Summer ends? Maybe. Always seems to get colder to me. you're out in cali right? so you surf? any fear of sharks? giant shark dork. i get those that say there's a bigger chance of being struck by lightning - but to me - that's like tap dancing in a thunderstorm with a samurai sword in an open field out my way.......

Not really. In SoCal, shark attacks aren't too common and I've never seen a shark in all my years of surfing/swimming/fishing. NorCal is a different story. No fucking way would I ever paddle out in those cold, shark infested waters.

First, I prefer the nights longer > longer days. Im a night owl, no doubt, so:
1. Houston is always hot, but it's the end of DEAD hot at least. At least I dont have to take 5 showers a day anymore and my water bill goes down a little...and AC bill. I dont mind the cold, not like it's too cold here. Besides, it's easier for me to get warm > cold. 2. NFL BABY! 3. MLB playoffs...lets go Astros! Repeat!!!! (But man those Red Sox are hot, Yankees look good, and those As won't go away!) 4. My favorite 3 months coming up! December and XMas, by far my favorite month. October and "horror" month. Love watching horror movies, from silly to serious. Love Halloween and October November and Thanksgiving, but that poor holiday gets eaten by October and December. Funny how all the best months in my eyes come boom boom boom. I just always feel happier during those months, football, horror month, food month, and GIFTS AND STUFF month, (JP..sort of) but I love going on walks, looking at XMas lights, decorating my house (Can be a pain in the @$$ but I do it). I love it. 5. TURNING THE CLOCKS BACK, YAY! Longer nights, end of long days!
For me.....the worst months are over. I rank my months as follows: December > October > November > March (My Bday month) > April > Feb > January > May > July > September (All the good $hit's coming up!) > June > and I HATE AUGUST!
So yea, all my favorite months are coming up, Im so glad to see summer ending. Adios! Won't miss ya, especially in Houston.

I hope so. Might make a baseball game worth watching.

Well first 4 are obvious. Love my XMas, people are usually happier (Beware of Black Friday, I wont do that!) I love XMas, I love Halloween (One day of the year I truly miss being little. Nothing more fun, for me, going door to door and getting FREE CANDY! IT'S FREE! IT'S CANDY! LOL). Thanksgiving is the day to be a big pig and enjoy football and relax. Also, dark later, so those 3 obvious. March my bday, and Im a pisces, I love rain and it's my bday and we usually get a lot of rain in March. Also March Madness, NBA is coming to an end, playoffs are coming up. Ok so those 4 done. April is easter, and I loved easter as a kid. I think it's an enjoyable holiday. Also...NBA PLAYOFFS! I always find round one so exciting, idk why. We get 16 teams, and usually the 4 v 5 matchup and 3 v 6 ARE USUALLY enjoyable. Sometimes some even exciting 7 v 2 matchups. So now why Feb/Jan. Well, again Im in Houston, so it's probably not the same as a Philly winter (Id bank it). If we get snow it's a fn event in Houston. Cars stop in the middle of the road or pull over, everyone goes out. We rarely get it, it's like a d@mn holiday. It snowed when I was in school and we literally all got to go outside and enjoy it. Like a dang holiday. Im sure in Philly you guys see snow and become the grinch. We see it and it's like,"SSNNNNOOOOWWWWWW" we become little kids. Feb is VDay and I guess that means more when youre dating someone. Also NBA is still going on. January is New Years, the superbowl, and my gfs bday, and more basketball + it still is nice and dark out late. Also, it's just 'cool' here. Not miserable hot, but Im sure not the weather you guys see. It's exciting when I get to wear my Texan jacket, because I rarely get too! Next, May, my moms bday and again, more rain. Also...if youre lucky, your team is still playing some NBA. Even if not, it's the best teams and some good NBA playoffs. Also NBA finals! So now that leaves the final 4. July wins out simply because....least there's something? (July 4th). That's really the only "cool" holiday we get. September is next only because, everything "exciting" is coming up. June and August are nightmares in Houston. (My June-August probably = January/Febuary for you. Just opposite of hot v cold) So yea, I think it's location for us. If I went to Philly, in Jan/Feb, youd all probably look at me like a nutcase. Id be outside, making snowman, diving in the snow, it be exciting. I've never legit seen like 6 inches of snow, EVER. Now, im sure if I lived further north....all the sudden those two months would slip for me. Oddly...most depressing "day" for me...is December 27th. Why? It's all 'over' to me. Halloween is gone, TGiving is gone, XMas is gone (26th youre still excited....27th though...work, back to the grind, and it's like all the joy is over). So yea, sorry for the longish post, but hope that explains why it goes like that for me personally.

1. Watch for stopped school buses. Avoid school zones (20 mph). 2. Might get below 95 degrees. 3. NFL!
