I think this could be the year that the Longhorns get over the hump and win 10 games or so. They have the Big 12’s best defense, and their offense should be good as well, Ehlinger should have the best season a Texas QB has had in several years and they have good talent around him, their rushing game should be drastically improved. Texas is definitely a Big 12 contender this season.

i actually love the guy - like Dick Vitale - but over the past couple of seasons you can see he's slowed down considerably and Herbstreit protects him in a way like a grandson protects a senile grandfather - corso has become the 'cute schtick' and not so much the knowledgeable commentator...... |

It was noticeable today how Corso has gotten senile, he was jumbling his words, couldn’t recall names of players/coaches, screwed up his picks, he just doesn’t add anything anymore as an analyst, he’s mainly there for his personality and his chemistry with Herbstreit. Rece Davis is an awesome host, he makes the show worth watching, 100 times better than Fowler. Herbstreit has grown on me over the years, he has an ego and is somewhat biased but he is knowledgeable. Desmond Howard needs to go, he adds absolutely nothing, is exceptionally biased, tries too hard to be trendy and have personality and it comes across as fake and overboard, they could do much better than him.
About Tom Herman and Texas, if he doesn’t win this year and they finish with a mediocre record once again, then I agree he’s a bust. There’s no reason why Texas shouldn’t be one of the top CFB programs, and they have a lot of talented players this year.
