Good answer.
Rock n Roll and Blues Rock were really repetitive genres.

Would have been okay as a 1 hit wonder but the post-grunge years were pretty weak so they stuck around.

Would have been okay as a 1 hit wonder but the post-grunge years were pretty weak so they stuck around. I have an old .MP3, with a live version of "Never Again", that is actually pretty good. But I don't own any Nickelback albums, and can understand how Nickelback became the most hated band in history:

Taggart & Torens podcast touched on this a while ago. It's the Mutt Lange effect. Mutt Lange produces tracks that are essentially lists. Shania Twain under his wing. Listen to her hits - I'm gonna ____ cuz I'm so ____ and you'll ____ cuz you're ____ oh yeah yeah baby etc. Same with Nickelback. They're f'n writing lists out on paper & adding grocery rock sounds to them. Same with a lot of country artists actually which explains itself lols

Only good song I've heard from him is the Hobbit one.

Placebo. Unless, of course, they did only have one song.
