I was born in the holiest place of Buddhism. Dalai Lama often visits my hometown.
My town, Gaya, is also one of the holiest places of Hinduism.
I have visited Tiger Monastery (Buddhist monastery) situated 10,240 ft above the sea level. There were few Buddhist temples situated inside the monastery.
I have visited Salisbury Cathedral in UK. It contains a clock which is among the oldest working clocks in the world, and has the best surviving of the four original copies of Magna Carta. (credit for source goes to wiki).
I have been to Stonehenge (which is not far from Salisbury) which might have been a religious place once.

The Vatican Borobudur Prambanam Aya Sofia The Blue Mosque Temple of the Sun/Moon I do love to visit whatever is this temple of sun/moon. Never heard of it until I read your post. I do also love to see pyramids of Egypt. I guess we can count that as religious as those were built by people who followed ancient Egyptian religion and may have had some connection with religion. would also love to visit Jerusalem. I guess being a non-Muslim I can't visit Mecca.

Numerous Neolithic, Bronze Age, and Iron Age ritual sites and landscapes. Numerous current and abandoned Christian sites of all denominations. Roman/Romano-British temples. Contemporary pagan, wicca places of Worship. The odd mosque, etc.
All in the British Isles.

Yeah when I had earlier searched for temple of sun/moon then I got a place in Peru.
It's important to note that Pyramids have been built by polytheist religions or pantheists religions in different parts of the world. Not so much by monotheists.
Another site that I do love to visit is Angkor Wat, Cambodia. Heard it's massive.
