Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns, Alan Moore's Saga Of The Swamp Thing and Watchmen
DC have a plethora of so bad they are entertaining titles..a lot of Detective Comics, Batman, Superman, Action, Jimmy Olsen, Wonder Woman etc titles from the 60s fall into that category.

If you were to recommend me one to read which one would it be ? Watchmen The Dark Knight Returns Kingdom Come Batman Year One Crisis on Infinite Earths Identity Crisis Dark Nights Metal
Anything DC by Grant Morrison Geoff Johns run on Green Lantern Scott Snyder and Greg Capullos run on Batman (The New 52)
And more recently the first year of ALL the Rebirth titles, particularly Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman. That will lead you where to go next...
p.s. Both Superman titles and Justice League just started over with new #1s, so those are particularly good and easy to find starting points.

I don’t really know any of the modern stuff other than the alternative-universe comics, which as a kid I always liked for some strange reason… (As I wrote in one of the threads about superhero animated TV shows, for whatever reason I tended to prefer alternate-universe and superhero/monster crossovers!) Hm. Of the alternate-universe ones, I really liked JLA: Earth 2, the Crime Syndicate one. It offers a nice use of everybody’s powers, an interesting look at a “good is evil, evil is good” world, and two engaging heroes in Alexander Luthor and Commissioner Thomas Wayne. I also read and enjoyed Superman: Red Son, which No Morpho, Only Bánh mì recommended in your other thread—a very good concept, well-executed, though the final twist is even more ridiculous than usual. Other than those, I highly recommend the older ones—‘50s, ‘60s. Those are the ones I know best, and they have some great and very clever plot ideas and engaging stories.

Batman from the 30s to the 70s.
The first Joker story especially.

Crisis on Infinite Earths. Still probably the best event comic of all time.
