A little bit premature as the event doesn't start until Sept 25th. All kind of packages on offer. www.rydercup.com/Main points of interest at the moment are who will make the team ?. For Europe the certs are Molinari, Rory, Justin, Tyrrell, Fleetwood, Rahm and Noren. Hopefuls include Oleson, Casey, Rafa, Sergio, Poults, Knox, Peppers, Pieters and Fitzpatrick. Sergio has had a poor summer but his Ryder Cup record gives him a chance. Knox lacks consistency and if anything has played his way out of the team. Poults looks a must and Casey has loads of experience which the team needs with somany rookies. For the US. Lefty and Woods should play, together with Thomas, DeShambles, Dustin, Spieth, Koepka, Reed, Ricky and Web Simpson. Others hoping for a pick are Zach, Kuchar and Finau. Decisions on the final teams are imminent.

After the Brexit there should be nothing European that includes the Britons: ESA, CERN, Eurovision, Champions League...out with them!

Whenever someone says "Ryder Cup" all I think of is Bernhard Bloody Langer missing that sitter in 1991. My dead grandmother could have sunk that.

I'll be watching. It's the only time golf gets truly exhilarating. Not even the majors are that exhilarating - more tense & dramatic perhaps, but the juice isn't the same.

Following his play-off victory today in Denmark, Matt Wallace may very well have played himself into Thomas Bjorn's Ryder Cup team. He's had a great season and looks likely to join Rose, Poulter, Casey, etc., on the USPGA tour. Bjorn's problem is that he has plenty of young talent to choose from, but is a bit short on experience. This suggests he may turn to tried and tested Ryder Cup veterans like Casey, Poulter and Garcia and coming out of left field maybe, Westwood. I like the young guns. They have the desire, nerve and the ambition to take on what looks like being one of USA's better teams in recent years

I can understand Bjorn going for experience but if that's the case what's the point in guys like Cabrera-Bello and Matt Wallace busting a gut, with great form, in their attempts to make the team. Seems to me that Bjorn is taking the piss, making the easy decisions. I'm glad that Noren, Fleetwood and Rahm had already made the team because If left tp Bjorn, I've no doubt he would have selected Westwood, Monty and McDowell, just to play safe. Shame on you Thomas. You chickened out.

Wouldn't want to be the next Euro captain because he WILL have a team of rookies.

Jose-Maria and Paul McGinley have been the best of the Euro teams' captains, recently and I think Harrington will be good as well and maybe Paul Lawrie
