What I was saying is that Pitt looks more like an older Warren Worthington, III than he does an older Cyclops. I know. I was just saying.

While I love Brad Pitt as an actor and if he was cast in this film I'd get even more excited for it, I can't help but feel like he's not a fit for this movie. It would kind of seem like a lot that worked about the original they'd be going away from in the sequel by getting such a Hollywood A-lister like Brad to play Cable.

There is literally no reason to pay that man $20-30 million to do the role when Stephen Lang exists at a much lower price. Lang was my favorite choice.

And there's no reason to go as expensive as hiring Pitt. He's all wrong for the role. He's a pretty boy. Cable's supposed to be a rugged tough guy. The counter I have for that is Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Wolverine is self-admittedly ugly in comics. To me Cable has to be someone that looks like an older Cyclops. Even though Pitt actually looks more like an older Warren Worthington,III... I thought we were getting to the point of starting to cast people who look like the characters in comic book movies. Besides, Cable being Scott and Jean's son is supposed to be a surprise twist. There are going to be a lot of newcomers who don't know that going into the film.

But at the same time you can still cast someone that, when that twist comes, you can see him being his son. So an older Cyclops would fit that. Now I'm not saying make him younger looking with greying brown hair. Just someone you can see as looking like he could have played Cyclops in his youth. I think Michael Biehn could be a good Cable (even though he kinda played him in Terminator) and he would have made an awesome Cyclops if the movie was made in the 80s.

When you see him in a movie you know him. Might not know his name, but you'll know who he is.

And if Hollywood only ever cast big name actors, Christopher Reeve would never have been Superman. So you were saying?

Neither me nor my brothers look a thing like our dad. The offspring doesn't always look like the parent generation.

But anyway. Even in the comics they made him look like an older Cyclops. And when he is young he looks like Cyclops with a white stripe in his hair. I'd say the only time he didn't look like Cyclops was before they decided to make him Nathan Summers.

They want their big name actor. Too bad if you don't like it.

The kids don't tend to resemble the parents on her side. One of my uncles on my mom side's looks more like a distant relative from the 1800s than he does any of his living relatives. That's one design they've used for him, but I'm picturing Cable from the 90s and I don't think he resembled Scott at all back then.

But after he was revealed to be Nathan Summers they started drawing him with more hair and looking like a young old man (like Magneto) with more of a Cyclops look. And I was joking about the being adopted thing.

No, it's "too bad they don't give a crap, because the film will suffer for it." If they don't cast a big named actor for the hero, the villain and/or supporting most likely has a big name until the leads have a big enough name. Superman had both Marlon Brando and Gene Hackman. X-men had both Patrick Stewart and Halle Berry. Both weren't huge names, but Stewart had the sci-fi community and Berry was seen as the hottest black actress (looks-wise) at the time. Deadpool has Ryan Reynolds. People aren't breaking down doors to cast him, but pretty much everyone knows him. Even Man of Steel had Russell Crowe. First Class had Kevin Bacon and gave way to the rising star JLaw in DoFP (and the OT cast). I don't think any of these movies will have all no names in them. Somebody will have a name.

Yeah, but this is coming after the original Deadpool was a monster hit. WOn't the fact this is "Deadpool 2" have the masses coming? Besides, Pitt's too pretty to be Cable. Cable is the rough-looking soldier type. If they actually go with Pitt, reactions to him attempting a tough guy act will be met with eye rolls, chuckles, and head shakes.

Never once saw him pull it off convincingly. Ever. He's too baby-faced for it. That's also the reason I can't take Leo DiCaprio seriously as anything but the male lead of a romance.

Okay never mind, it's all subjective anyway
