I was a child in the 1970s, so Saturday morning cartoons were plentiful.
Here's what I watched:
Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Show Scooby Doo Bailey's Comets Tom & Jerry Clue Club Butch Cassidy Speed Buggy Wheelie & The Chopper Bunch The Kroft Supershow (live action)
And of course I loved the Schoolhouse Rock shorts.

I recently posted this on another board about this topic. Ok. this gets a little confusing because many cartoons started out on Saturday mornings then later were syndicated in reruns on weekdays. there were also some that originally aired in primetime but then were rerun on Saturday mornings for years like Johnny Quest and the Jetsons. And then some of them also went into syndication. But to the best of my ability here is a list of some the shows that were officially Saturday Morning Cartoons (big 3 networks) at some point or another. Some ran in reruns on Saturdays morning for decades even though they only had about 20 episodes. I'll start with super heroes Aquaman The Batman Superman Hour Spider Woman Spider-Man in various configurations starting with the excellent 1967 series The Fantastic Four also various configurations over decades Superfriends Plastic Man Space Ghost The Herculoids Frankenstein Jr. Gigantor Jana of the Jungle Captain Caveman Underdog The Incredible Hulk again in various forms that started with the excellent 1967 series, The Marvel Superheroes that included Thor, Ironman, Captain America and Namor as well as Hulk Birdman The Lone Ranger, Zorro, Tarzan all shared a show Thundar the Barbarian Flash Gordon (excellent show) Johnny Quest (ok its scifi not superhero but one of the best shows ever) Hong Kong Phooey Non super hero shows Smurfs Josie and the Pussycats Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space Scooby-Doo in various configurations starting in 1969 The Pink Panther show had many iterations also Goober and the Ghost Chasers The New Schmoo The Funky Phantom Wheely and the Chopper Bunch Speed Buggy Charlie Chan and the Chan Clan Garfield Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids Speed Racer The Archies had several cartoon versions The Hardy Boys The Globtrotters had at least 2 different cartoon series Dastardly and Mutley in their Flying Machines The Wacky Races The Perils of Penelope Pitstop Scooby's Laff Olympics Yogi Bear Yogi's Space Race Magilla Gorilla Pebbles and Bam-Bam The original The Flintstones aired in prime time but in the 80's Fred and Barney starred in a Saturday Morning version The Jetsons Bugs Bunny and Road Runner show (and several other iterations of the Looney Tunes) Jabber Jaw Another interesting phenomenon was whenever a live action property became popular they turned it into a Satuday morning cartoons so there was Happy Days Lavergne and Shirley Mork and Mindy Star Trek Mr. T The Brady Bunch The Partridge Family The Jackson 5 The Osmond Brothers Planet of the Apes Emergency+4 Beetlejuice Doctor Doolittle Hulk Hogan's Rockin Wrestling The Addams Family And my personal favorite "I Am the Greatest: The Adventures of Muhammad Ali" There are of couse many others but these are some of the ones I remember the most. Live action Saturday morning kid's shows are a whole other topic and I could get into those too including the excellent "Land of the Lost" and the vastly inferior remake. But I think this is enough for now. I hope I reminded some of you of things you had forgotten. Read more: knowhere-mcu.proboards.com/thread/746/saturday-morning-cartoons-grow?page=4#ixzz5PiEWGZyh
