For me, I differentiate between best and favorite, although in a few cases, the line can blur. This is a 'favorite' list as your thread implies, in what I would call easy for me to watch, go to movies, where my mood may not exactly matter even though they are from different genres. WHATEVER HAPPENED TO BABY JANE - 62'ROSEMARY'S BABY - 68' THE BOYS IN THE BAND - 70'JAWS - 75' 3 WOMEN - 77' DAWN OF THE DEAD - 78'GREASE - 78' UP IN SMOKE - 78' MOTEL HELL - 80' ORDINARY PEOPLE - 80' THE FUNHOUSE - 81'HALLOWEEN II - 81' ANNIE - 82' BASKET CASE - 82' TOOTSIE - 82' VISITING HOURS - 82' PSYCHO II - 83'CONAN THE DESTROYER - 84' FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF - 86' HEARTBURN - 86' ELVIRA: MISTRESS OF THE DARK - 88'HEAVENLY CREATURES - 94' SERIAL MOM - 94' TO WONG FOO, THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, JULIE NEWMAR - 95'DETROIT ROCK CITY - 99' It would have been easy to do a top 50, obviously, and I could have come up with another 25 favorites in a minute. The challenge was the restraint. Looking back now, I could have so easily, for example, out down Paul Bartel's "Private Parts" and also "Basket Case".

It was a difficult task and even I feel there are some odd choices, even for myself, but I based it on what I know I have watched many times and get that favorite enjoyment feel from them. I perhaps have not recalled many, that when they come to mind, they could even replace what I have already listed.

Mr. Dirty, THE THING is on in 70mm at Music Box on in 2 weeks. I can't believe you haven't seen this suspense classic from John Carpenter. I have heard enough recommendations from people who love this movie. i guess I will have to see it then.Yes, I guess Mr. Dirty, otherwise Ida could be paying a visit to you and she will be in one of her darker moments. Millie has assured her that you are her favorite dinner party guest because you are a lot of fun and Ida loves those pigs in a blankets that she makes, but she just might decide to make her own, with a very special Dirty ingredient.
