African Americans and forms of music pioneered by African Americans like rap and hip hop are becoming a larger ang larger part of mainstream music? Not saying I agree but it is an interesting theory

A large portion of black music has degenerated from the blues, R&B, Motown, and Memphis into rap/hiphop. Most of the latter is boorish, racist, misogynist, and hardly even worthy of being called music.

Most people tend to gravitate to the music of their youth so whatever is currently popular is irrelevant. This has pretty much always been true. Those that don't are people that know music is more than top 40 and they usually listen to a wide variety, including rap and hip hop. So the answer to your question is no. Honestly, it's kind of a silly question to ask in the first place and comes off as bait.

I dislike rap. It has nothing to do with if I'm racist. The only genre I like less is country. I'd highly prefer old Motown or 80s pop (black or white) to rap.

No but people who believe that are morons.
It's like when Kanye's MBDTF came out and people would claim if you didn't like it you were racist. I actually do, but I can easily understand someone not liking it (or any other rap/hip-hop album) for legitimate musical reasons. Music, arguably more than any other artform, is subjective.

Lol. You have to like hip-hop and rap to prove your not racist? That actually sounds like something a closeted racist would do.

I'm not much a fan now not because it's more mainstream than it used to be, but because its shittier than it used to be.

No. I never liked Rap or Hip Hop and am not racist and a number of Aboriginal I know hate both genres and find it racist when people automatically assume they must like them just 'cause they are black.

Not saying I agree but it is an interesting theory That's rubbish. I hate most rap and hip-hop because of its sexist and violent lyrics. I love older black music: Ray Charles, Etta James, Motown, etc.

There is kind of a racist double standard where rock fans who love AC/DC, Ted Nugent, the Stones, Guns n Roses, Metallica, Slayer, etc. suddenly turn into raging SJWs and criticize rap for being violent and not respectful enough to women.
And there are racists who will despise rap and other forms of black culture mostly out of racism.
That being said, it isn't racist in itself to hate any kind of music. You might just not like the sound of it.
