"Ferris Day Bueller's Day off". The lead is a spoiled, rich brat that manipulates his friend and I'm supposed to root for him? Any other film he would have been the villain.

Fight Club - Stupid twist and everything leading up to it contradicts it. The Deer Hunter - Boring.

I like Ed Norton, so perhaps I should watch it again. I saw "Deer Hunter" once in high school, it was OK, haven't really felt too compelled to watch it again. Certainly no where near as good as "Full Metal Jacket"

I watched "The Graduate" once, haven't really felt too compelled to watch it again. I think people just mostly like it for the soundtrack.

That said: Grease. Although the songs were really good, I didn't think much of the plot-line itself. I found The Godfather Part II to be kind of boring.

Godfather II would have worked better if the whole thing was a Vito Corleone prequel I agree. The movie bouncing back & forth between Vito's past, & Michael's presence really did nothing for the movie, IMO.

Avatar - Can we have a movie where the natives actually know more about their world than a white savior?
Forest Gump - I really hated that movie.
Twilight - Couldn't stand it

Although I did like Titanic, I didn't like to the extreme in which many of its fans did. Personally, my favourite movie on that particular disaster was A Night To Remember. If a person so much as criticizes Titanic in anyway, the movie's rabid fans will rip them to shreds.

I should mention in my earlier post, that yes, Ferris manipulates his friend Cameron, however, underneath the manipulation, he really cares about the guy. The movie strongly implies that Cameron comes from an abusive home life, and Ferris & Sloane only want to help him unwind from that type of environment. My only real criticism of that movie was that I always felt that Jennifer Grey should have played Sloane & Mia Sara should have played Jeanne Bueller. My reason isn't because Matthew Broderick & Jennifer Grey dated in real life (they met on the set of the movie, so the people involved in making it, wouldn't have predicted who would get together with who, in reality), but, because Jennifer Grey looked nothing like Matthew Broderick, whereas Mia Sara had quite a lot of the same physical features as Matthew Broderick (they both had dark, straight hair; they both had the same eyes; clear complexion; etc), & therefore, would have looked better playing his sister, as opposed to his girlfriend.

Napoleon Dynamite. The first time I wasn't sure what to make of it. A few more times then I realized it's just not that funny.

I found Schindler's List to be largely boring.
Shape of Water was an entirely forgettable movie.
12 Years a Slave looks so dull that I've never bothered to watch it.
The Hurt Locker was boring.
The Deer Hunter was like watching paint dry.
Gone With The Wind is shit from beginning to end, and largely serves to excuse the South for their immensely evil assholishness over slavery.

This is my answer. The main story just wasn't that good.
