David Fincher. Honestly, the only film of his I don't own is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button . Thats the only film of his I don't particularly care for. Not saying its an awful/shitty film by any means but it came across as too cutesy & heart felt. Thats not what I want from Fincher films . I prefer his darker work which would be the vast majority of his filmography lol. I love how his films are shot (the cinematography is top notch & unique) , I love the dark humor used in his films , and the nihilistic tendencies that he interjects into his films as well.

Jason Reitman
I like 6 out of 7 of his movies and 5 out of 7 are within my Top 105 movies at the very least. he's got another movie coming out this year to... The Front Runner (2018) which I suspect will put it 7 out of 8 and hopefully, in terms of movies I score a 7/10 or higher, puts it to 6 out of 8.
basically... he's pretty consistent unlike the major name directors which tend to be more hit or miss than he is, at least so far.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1.Up in the Air (2009) - 8-8.5/10 (my #1 movie of 2009) 2.Thank You For Smoking (2005) - 8/10 (my 4th or 5th favorite movie of 2005) 3.Young Adult (2011) - 7.5-8/10 (my #3 movie of 2011) 4.Juno (2007) (my #3 movie of 2007) 5.Men, Women & Children (2014) (my #1 movie of 2014) 6.Tully (2018) - 6/10 7.Labor Day (2013-2014) - 2/10 (boring)
basically Up in the Air is not much outside of my Top 26 movies and Thank You For Smoking is within my Top 56 movies and movies #3-5 are within my Top 105 movies.

I've never outright disliked a Nolan film, although I was pretty disappointed in TDKR.

Well, he's been dead for over 40 years, but I liked/loved every single William Castle movie that I ever saw.
My second favorite movie director is Mario Bava, and he's also been dead for a while, and I also liked every single one of his movies (that I saw.)
As far as contemporary directors, I guess the only one would be Todd Solondz. I've seen three of his movies, and I liked all three of them.
