Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef getting beat up in For A Few Dollars More Clint Eastwood getting it from Scorpio in Dirty Harry "No, don't pass out on me now cop! No, no, no, no, no. Don't pass out on me yet, you dirty, rotten oinker!" Superman seeing the kryptonite in the box in Superman the Movie "You were great in your day, Superman. But it just stands to reason, when it came time to cash in your chips, this old... diseased... maniac would be your banker." Robocop "What'd you think? You were an ordinary police officer? You're our product...I want you to meet a friend of mine. Bob Morton made a mistake, now its time to erase that mistake."

In Dragonslayer, Galen uses his magic amulet to cause an avalanche that he believes seals the dragon Vermithrax in his cave, ending his threat forever, and marches like a conquering hero into town. Instead of a hero's welcome, he is imprisoned by the king and chastised for angering the beast, which sure enough escapes from the rocky prison to wreak havoc on the kingdom again. A classic humbling moment.

A classic humbling moment. I haven't seen this one for several years. It is perhaps one of the best dragon movies made and for a family orientated film, it is quite graphic and scary in parts. I am not sure why they chose Peter MacNicol for Galen though. He has no real charisma or presence. He was a bland hero. I believe part of the film's failure is due to him, and he is not bad in the role, just not that interesting as an actor.

Riggs in Lethal Weapon 2 finding out how his late wife was killed, and getting dumped into the drink while in a straight jacket. And then of course escaping, and going full balls-to-the-wall batshit crazy on those rat-bastard Nazi wannabes.

Not at all, because the entire presentation of the film is top notch for its time. It could have worked more magic though, both appeal wise and fiscally, if they perhaps had made a shrewder choice with the leading man. Apparently, MacNichol is embarrassed by this first role of his and doesn't include it in his resume.
