I feel like he still could today. He may not be the same Jim Carey from the 90’s we all loved, but I do think it’d very interesting to see how he would be. I think Ryan Reynolds totally captures Deadpool, but if he were to be replaced (which I hope to god not) Carey would be my next choice.

My next choice would be Seann William Scott. At the end of the day, I do think you need a younger, athletic guy in there.

I don't. It's very physical and he's not a young man. His humor also comes from his expressions and mannerisms, whereas Deadpool is all about wit. The Merc with the Mouth.
Jim Carrey I could see playing a live action Freakazoid.
Jim Carrey really is something else. He's so talented. It's no secret he's a little too manic to be everyone's cup of tea. I've seen him do better. I've seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; I can't go back to Dumb and Dumber Jim Carrey after that. I've seen too much.

He was in Clint Eastwood thriller the dead pool (1988). A hilarious cameo as satanic rocker doing a music video.

I don’t trust him in anything source material related after Dukes of Hazzard. Deadpool was Ryan's fourth crack at a comic book movie after three terrible outings, including one as Deadpool himself. So I can forgive Srann for besmirching the great name of The Dukes of Hazard. I was basing my decision off of Stifler and The Rundown, anyway. |
