Loved the movie, but it gets dinged for Mickey Rooney's horrendous Japanese landlord. You're thinking of 'Breakfast at Tiffany's.'

10/10 - Loved it. MacMurray was such a sleazebag, MacLaine was so cute and Lemmon was such a..."nebbish", but a likable one at that.

One of my personal favorites, I try to see it every year between Christmas and New Year.
Shirley is at her abolute sweetest, both vulnarable and funny.
Jack Lemmon was still fresh
Fred MacMurray lost a girl, and his world is crumbling

Love the performances, especially by Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine. I think this is the only film I've seen of her so young and she is very good here. Supporting cast is also good. Seeing Fred MacMurray as kind of a bad guy was an unusual choice but he seemed to fit it. I've only seen him in traditional good guy roles.
It's a charming film, even thought it does deal with some dark issues.
Not enough story to cover over 2 hours and the ending is a little abrupt.
But definitely worth watching and a solid 8/10.
