George Lazenby - On Her Majesty's Secret Service To be fair, he seemed like he couldn't care less. Wasn't he full beard doing his press junkets, & sounding like he thought 007 was a bit of a farce??

Indeed, i've read his general attitude towards his role was horrendous and nobody wanted to work with him even before filming finished. His performance didn't help either

Mr. Accident - Yahoo Serious (anyone remember this guy? I seriously doubt that film killed his career, but it popped into my head. I think his career was DOA)...

Movies like Stroker Ace and Cannonball Run II sure didn't do Burt Reynolds' film career any favors; it was all downhill after that until his comeback with Boogie Nights.
I remember reading a scathing review for CBII in which the critic urged Reynolds to "stop hanging around with that guy Hal Needham."

Captain Marvel - Brie Larson Kidding. But seriously, it seems like The Incredible Hulk killed Edward Norton's career. What has he done of note since, besides some Wes Anderson movies. I've heard he's picky, but how picky can you be if you're doing Wes Anderson films? Edit: I missed Birdman. So there's that. Edward Norton's ego is why he hasn't gotten much work since The Incredible Hulk.

Interesting enough, Spielberg said 1941 ruined his film career and the only thing that saved it was Lucas insisting to the studios that Spielberg direct Raiders.
So now I get why Spielberg is so loyal to him.

He was doing well on smaller movies for a second there. Election and You Can Count on Me. That is 2 movies and that is after 9 years of mediocrity. Just look at his filmography. He has a couple indie movies in the early 1990's and the rest of the 1990's was spent making bad Hollywood movies, with the exception of The Lion King. That is a huge change from his run in the 1980's. But I like the Cable Guy, Godzilla, Inspector Gadget . . .

I think he's career started and ended with Young Einstein or whatever it was called. He tried doing some film about Ned Kelly after that which followed the same formula as his first film. By the time he did Mr Accident it was already long over.

re: BroderickEven by GLORY (1987), Matthew Broderick doesn't seem right for the role. A wasted oppurtunity for the right actor who could of eaten up that major part. Just a thought. I agree. I felt like I was watching Ferris Bueller play soldier. I am surprised that terrible Ghostbusters remake/reboot/sequel whatever they call it this week didn't kill everyone's career. I hope she just goes away now.
