I used to be obsessed with Angela Bassetts performance in this, and still am to this day. I feel she was spectacular in this film, and was robbed of the Oscar.
The film itself only focuses on the abusive relationship between Ike and Tina Turner, but its enjoyable and hard to watch the abuse at times. The best part of the film is the acting. Bassett and Fishburne absolutely kill it.
