I'll never pay those absurdly high prices for any band/artist.
In 2010 I paid $37 for a Neil Young (solo)/Allen Toussaint benefit concert.
In 1977 I paid $20 for Led Zeppelin. I'm not sure how much that would be in today's money, but average ticket prices at that time were $6. The concert was cancelled and I had to go to New Orleans to get a refund. Now I wish I had kept the ticket for my collection.

I spent $46.50 on my seat to see Alison Krauss and Union Station in January of 2005 at the place in Knoxville named the Tennessee Theater. I don't remember if that included the service charge.
God bless you and them always!!!
Holly (an AKUS fan since 1994)
P.S. They are going to be there again at the end of this month for the theater's 90th birthday, but sadly the show is sold out. The cheapest seat is $65.00. My seat in 2005 was in row #6. A seat that good to this year's show is $85.00 I am guessing that them two prices are before the service charges should their still be one.

$40 to see Bob Dylan in 2001.
$5 to see the Beatles in 1966. That's about $39 in today's money.

Probably $100 odd for an all day festival (3 or 4 bands I really wanted to see). A single band would have been well under that. Think I paid $60-$80 for Belle and Sebastian in early 2015.
I haven't been to any really big name arena type shows where you pay in the hundreds.

I've paid over 100 per ticket to see big-name artists more than once. And I'm usually buying for two.

$200 for Foo Fighters. General admission at Wrigley Field. I got to drink beer in the outfield so that was cool!

Excluding festivals and package deals to see gigs overseas, probably £160 to see John Carpenter next month. Though the ticket does include a front row seat, a photo with the man, some exclusive merchandise and a couple of items of your choice signed.
