Darnold throws a pick six on his very first NFL pass!! I thought he was somewhat overrated at USC, and I’m concerned he may be a bust. Lions defense is underrated, their secondary is very strong and they do a good job of forcing TO’s. I love this sort of overreaction to one play.. we all know better, but we all do it. |

Darnold has looked sharp since his opening pick and the Jets have played well, while the Lions have looked off. They need to establish a rushing attack in the second half, that will be a key for them and I think their defense needs to put more guys up front and put more pressure on Darnold and try to eliminate the Jets rushing attack.

I said in the pick em thread that I would be more surprised if the Jets won than lost on the road in Detroit. Jesus! They lost Stafford and they send in Matt Please Be Half As Good As You Were In College Cassel.
Stafford back in and he throws another pick. Detroit is disorganized to say the least! It's not looking good for Detroit, as another Aaron Rodgers style rally looks slim.

Jets get a PR TD, they now lead 41-17. Absolutely shocking result, the Lions have looked terrible all around, Stafford with 4 picks now, he’s been absolutely awful, no rushing game, their defense has been picked apart, the Lions have laid a massive egg.

It's not looking good for Detroit, as another Aaron Rodgers style rally looks slim. Coming into this season I had no clue what to think of the Lions as a team. Had no feeling towards them if they're bad or good. All I knew was that I had zero confidence in Matt Patricia as the new HC. So them looking disorganized doesn't surprise me as I'd put that fault on Patricia. |

He’s been good since his first pass tonight but only time will tell how good he will be. The Lions have just laid an egg in every facet of the game tonight, no excuse for this horrendous performance. |

I picked the Jets too simply because I'd rather bet on them then bet on Patricia as a HC in his first game. Belichick's disciples haven't faired well away from him so I felt comfortable in picking for that trend to continue. |

Time to get a look at this Rams team. Personally, I think they're going to be way too over hyped by the media this year because of their additions and I think they'll disappoint. There are A LOT of personalities on that defense and a not so experienced head coach there to try and control them. If they get on any sort of losing streak I think we'll be hearing about locker room arguments and possibility of the HC losing the team.
Raiders on the other hand, I think will get MAYBE 4 wins this year.

It must be the baseball diamond messing up the flow, because that field looks so damn tiny to me. Looks like they are playing a high school night game. Oakland is doing alright for themselves but I still think KC is going to end up winning the West. Whether or not the Rams win tonight they probably still take their division. The Seahawks lost to Denver and the Cardinals got whomped by the Redskins. Niners have improved but only up to mediocre level.

Not sure what to take from this game so far. I mean it's week 1 so it's hard to tell.
Are the Rams over hyped?
Are the Raiders NOT the dumpster fire people thought they'd be?
Time will tell, but this game is a lot better than the Lions shitting the bed.

Only difference was Cassel never played a single down in college. Despite that he went on to back up Brady in New England and when he took over after a Brady injury he played well. |

rooting for the lions and rams. that being said - i'd really like to see Gruden succeed this year - loved him as a commentator - guy's positivity is infectious - i think everyone is expecting him to fall flat on his face. although I'm rooting for the Lions - want Darnold to light it up too and succeed this year. how can you not want the Jets to do well this year? kinda like the Browns. Is there anyone you don’t like or don’t root for? Besides me of course. Ha ha. He really does like every team. It's hilarious. He is an Eagles fan and roots for the Cowboys, Redskins, and Giants. |

Rams with a dominating second half to get the win, they look like one of the NFL’s top teams. The Raiders didn’t look bad, I think they will be a decent team but I’ve never been very high on Carr, he threw a couple of awful picks in the second half, I don’t think he is as good as a lot of people were saying he was a couple of years ago.
