After Rhett leaves Scarlett… she attempts to become more domestic and while cooking carrots manages to set fire to the kitchen curtains and Tara burns completely to the ground !
The spoiled "happy ending" was that Rhett was finally rid of the chronically unsatisfied Scarlett and after the loss of Tara he came back to rescue her again !

Holly Golightly, Paul and Cat are re-united in the alley in the rain and they return to Holly's Apartment Building. Holly has (as usual) forgotten her key and rings the bell of Mr. Yunioshi BUT he has finally had enough of her shenanigans and  s them all. At the Trial that follows, he is found innocent as it was justify=able homicide BUT he is sentenced to 50 hrs of community service for shooting Cat . |

At the end of "It's A Wonderful Life" the Jimmy Stewart character I exposed as a serial killer. OR The population of the entire town (and perhaps the surrounding countryside as well) is crammed into the Bailey's house and as a result, the exits are all blocked when the Christmas Tree lights experience a short circuit and a fire starts and quickly the entire village goes up in a blaze of smoke and fire to rival the Burning of Atlanta !  Found in the ashes days later when the people in the next town finally notice that they have not heard from the residents of Bedford Falls is a small silver bell !  |

When the DeLorean arrives back in 1985, there is NO bridge to coast safely across the ravine, and Marty dies when the DeLorean plunges in to the ravine...

That "beginning of a beautiful friendship" at the Casablanca airport goes sour when Louis lets now un-employed Rick pick up the check one time too many and they part acrimoniously.
Should I be scared because this exercise is actually kinda fun ? I must not see many films with sad endings because I cannot come up with inspiration for anything much in the sad into happy thread  |

It's funny I've thought of dark ends for this movie also. Like after del walks in the house the kids are watching TV and they find out that a serial killer who sells shower curtain rings befriends people and then murders their family, then it cuts to Del's big smile the end |

Very Hitchcockian or maybe Roald Dahl-esque ! haha if this actually was the end it probably would have went down as the best twist ending ever just because it totally caught audiences off-guard and because it was rated R they could have done it but it wouldn't have been the feel-good movie that it's known for. |

DIE HARD
As John and Holly are being driven off by Argyle, his limo crashes into a speeding car. The driver, a big black dude, gets out and starts arguing with Argyle, leading to the latter being punched out. McClane goes to help him but unfortunately Thornburg is nearby and films McClane beating Argyle's assailant.
The next day McClane is accused by the media of police brutality against the victim, whose name happens to be Rodney King.
