Yes.
He just wastes his talent on bad movies and plays a creep/villain WAY too often. He has become a very uninteresting actor since the 1990's.

He'd have to be one since he got to work with Scorsese.

I liked him in "FIELD OF DREAMS", "HANNIBAL", "IDENTITY", and that Episode of "ER" that he was on.

He's one of two things that make Shades of Blue watchable. The other of course is Jennifer Lopez's body.

He doesn't have a ton of range but he's great at what he does.

Decent enough. He's very believably threatening.

I like him OK, he was actually originally supposed to play Tony in "The Sopranos" (Gnadolfini was a better choice)

"as far back as i can remember, i always wanted to be a gangster"
Seems like that is what he's good at playing. I did like him as Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams though.

He's one of two things that make Shades of Blue watchable. The other of course is Jennifer Lopez's body. I guess he didn't particularly enjoy working with her. Not much of a surprise since I've read things that she's kind of a bitch.
[on working with Jennifer Lopez on Shades of Blue] Every now and then she would come late, and if you come late it's a domino effect. NBC was really strict about a 14-hour workday. They cut if off at 14. So if you're at the end of the day you may only get one or two takes of a scene, so that wasn't exactly the teamwork that was needed.

Good, with a decent screenplay - of which there are far too few in his lengthy filmography. He also pulls off an action star performance in watchable actioner, no escape (1994).
Abduction thriller the entitled (2011) is easily one of the best of his commonly dim dial-a-thriller movies.
Top 5.. goodfellas (1990) something wild (1986) narc (2002) field of dreams (1989) cop land (1997)
