"Still Standing" starring Jonny Harris. I streamed it on CBC Gem.
Jonny Harris is a very funny comedian from Newfoundland and Labrador.
The premise of the show is Jonny visits struggling Canadian towns. Struggling in the sense that the economy has shifted - whether it would be a major factory closes - putting many people out of work, or a big box store comes to town - pulling away business from downtown. He talks to many of the locals to gather information about the town.
He then puts a stand up show on at the local theatre or community centre - telling the crowd about his findings.
I like the episodes where he goes to towns in Ontario, which is my home province.
I started watching the show in season 2. What got me into the series was he visited Eganville, Ontario. That town is about half an hour south of Pembroke, which is where my brother and his family live.
Of course, I had to go back to watch episodes of season 1. I streamed the episode where he went to Oil Springs, Ontario.
