Here's Ernie Watts and his band of paupers just a-scrimpin' and a-limpin' their way towards next paydirt. This cracking thumper must've paid off a few bills for them and perhaps provided a much-needed steak dinner or two. Feel the thwack of those percussive handclaps, the groovy female vocals just a-soarin' and a-roarin', and of course Ernie's world renowned sassy sax itself. This guy's worked with them all, I mean all, everything from Let's Get it On to McCartney's Pipes of Peace via Arthur's Theme, Best That You Can Do.
What a sensational sound this is. I can still remember excitedly gettin' the 7" disc of this with the middle bit missing because it was an American import and you always had to provide your own little black plastic spindle adaptor for those 7" imports. Cor, those were the days.
