Hopefully we'll get our own subforum so we're not just stuck on one thread

Me... kinda. I'm one of those annoying 'nu-who' fans Never too late to brush up on your classic Who. I tried, I just couldn't get into it. I mean it's not awful or anything, and for the time it was clearly new and exciting. It just doesn't do anything for me. I used to sometimes watch it as a kid (Tom Baker era) but was never that bothered about it.

I recently watched Battlefield (a 7th Doc tor story) which seems trivial, but actually has some quality depth, and even a good if somewhat obscure joke - in the name of the pub/guesthouse where a lot of the action takes place. (There don't seem to be spoiler tags, but if you haven't seen it and want to, this isn't really a spoiler - it's called the Gore Crow, which immediately suggests mediaeval battles.)

I have indeed seen Battlefield although not in several years. It's not my favorite 7th Doctor story but it's part of one of the stronger seasons of the show. I feel Classic Who in general was usually a lot smarter than the new series is and was. If Classic Who had a clever idea it would weave it into the story and move on to the next clever idea, if there's a clever idea in New Who they will milk it and dedicate the whole episode to that idea.

That is very true, and one of my son's main criticisms of New Who (he's been a fan of the classic series since childhood in re-runs and of New Who since it started when he was in his late teens. My absolute favourite Classic Who story is Curse of Fenric, which has its faults, but they are few.

I'm a fan of classic Who. I've never seen any of the revival series.

I prefer Classic Who by a huge margin.
New Who mostly annoys me.
