JaymanMILD SPOILERS below. So last night we had an episode of Supergirl that promised we would see our heroine in an epic adventure on Mars. Well the parts on Mars were not epic but they were pretty good. Unfortunately half of the episode took place back on Earth where we were subjected to watching the Maggie and Alex soap opera show (UGH!). This is supposed to be a comic book superhero action show, not a soap opera. I won't even get into the political pandering which was so forced and out of place that it didn't even match the world building that the show has created up until now. So, if you DVR'd it skip the parts on Earth and just watch the parts on Mars and you will have an enjoyable experience.

Still love it. Wasn't thrilled when they made Alex a lesbian, at least it keeps the producers from giving Kara the LGBTQ PC agenda. I guess they NEED to have some love story mixed in to keep up with the soap opera quota. "See we have a main character in a committed loving relationship". UM OK but it's a TV show based on an ACTION PACKED Superhero Comic Book.

I appreciate that. I waited till this 3rd episode and I figured if you or anybody else that posted a review said that they got political once again that that'd be it for me. I am deleting these 3 episodes off my dvr and I am done. There was a point where I was going to start watching the other superhero shows on that channel but from what I read, one of those is going political too so so much for that. I will be sticking with the classics from now on when they put out shows to strictly to entertain people. |

I noticed I last night's episode that Chris Wood is still listed in the opening credits, and not as a guest star but listed among the regular cast. That's because he has indeed become a regular cast member. He's actually coming in episode 7 called "Wake Up". |

Melissa Benoist is defently the main reason to watch the show
I liked season 2 but i have to say the whole Guardian storyline was just stupid and to me pointless.
I think season 2 was overall better than season 1.
