Girlfriend's Day 2017 (Netflix Original)
No spoilers...
Just saw this last night and it surprised the crap out of me. Bob Odenkirk, of "Mr. Show" and "Better Caul Saul," rarely disappoints in anything (as a writer or actor). This is no exception. It's like a combination between "Saul" and "The Big Lebowski." Not understated, but more relaxed and complex than the 'loud' comedies we've been getting so many of these days.
Perfectly cast, with tons of interesting and varied side characters. The story is refreshingly different, and even surreal in places.
One of its best strengths is its running time. 1 hour and 10 minutes. There is very little padding in the story and it keeps it tight.
Definitely recommended to Odenkirk fans...and comedy fans in general.
Anyone else catch this?
